Greenville County is one of the fastest growing counties in South Carolina with the population increasing by nearly 11% between the years of 2010 and 2017. In 2016, it is estimated that nearly 11% of Greenville County residents were living in poverty with a per capita income of less than $29,000. Research conducted by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation indicates that 14% of Greenville County residents were uninsured in 2018. A recent Greenville Forward Health Assessment revealed that 15% of Greenville County residents are not getting needed medical care, and 29% are postponing medical care primarily due to cost, transportation, or access issues.
To date we have screened and serviced over 5,100 patients. In 2019, TFMC dispensed over 21,000 prescriptions in our pharmacy and provided 4,673 patient visits that included office visits, all necessary lab work, necessary diagnostic testing, and all required prescriptions.
